Readerscape is a "Virtual Book Club" and a budding community of all kinds of readers. Books deserve great conversations and we're here to bring discussions to life. Every month, our members choose a book, which we read at our pace, and get together on the last Sunday of the month for a lively, fun-filled discussion. Know more about us here.
Anagha and Mansi are the co-founders of Readerscape - The Book Club. They met on Instagram through a common friend and then their shared love for the Victorian Era, literature, and academic aesthetics made sure they stuck together. More info about them is on our About Page.
* To begin with, you need to follow our Instagram channel if you're on IG as we share regular updates and reminders on our profile.
* And then you can head to the "Join the Club" page, where you'll have to answer a few questions.
* We have limited seats and admission is based on a first come first serve basis, after a quick scanning of answers by our team.
* You'll receive an email confirmation, once on submission of your responses and then on finalization of your status of admission.
On every 15th of the month, Readerscape calls for nominations from the members and our team (along with the Member Of the Month) shortlists some books for you to choose from. You’ll be sent notifications asking you to vote for your favorite and there’ll be lots of reminders on our Instagram channel and WhatsApp group too, so you won’t forget. The book with the most votes is chosen for reading.
Start reading the book at the beginning of the month & discuss at last Sunday of the month.
Around the 15th of the month, we’ll call for book nominations from members for the next month's reading.
The 18th of the month is when members will vote on which book to read next month so there’ll be enough time to buy/borrow the book.
One Bookish/Literary Games night, at the end of each Quarter.
Anytime for other bookish posts & discussions regardless of genre.
Based on the number of suggestions received, we weigh the book under following criteria: 1. Ease of Availability under all formats 2. Readability in terms of language difficulty
3. Length of the Book ()
4. That which promotes a lively discussion
After speculating we try to shortlist the nominations and leave it on our members to make the decision via votes.
